A Walk in the Park!

Soccer season is here and Drew had his first game on Saturday. Grandma Gregory was there cheering him on and at one point during the game he ran off the field and gave her a big hug and then immediately returned to the game. He can be so sweet and I know he made her day. He did great and scored 2 goals!! After each goal, he immediately looks over in our direction to make sure we saw his big accomplishment. His proud face and excitement is priceless!!

The fantastic weather on Sunday made it an easy decision to forgo all the laundry and house cleaning/organizing (that desperately needs to be done) and have some fun! My Mom and I took the kids on a “Park Crawl” to explore some new parks. The kids had a blast and we found some great new places to play.

Get ready for picture overload…I just can’t help it!

First up, Love Park off of Manchester Road where we found a great playground. No one was there so we had the entire play area to ourselves…how nice!

Next, Twin Oaks Park in Ballwin (141 & Big Bend). This place is so PRETTY! It does not have a playground but there is a beautiful pond with lots of fish to feed.

Brooke probably did 15 laps around the lake. She loved the freedom to run and explore EVERYTHING!

 Hmmm...where should I go next??
A lovely wood fence...how interesting!

 I found my shadow!

 How sweet!
We were able to get this shot by promising a candy treat!

Laundry and cleaning can wait...days like this are what it's ALL about!!
