Jacob

Our little elf friend, Jacob, came back for his 2nd year to spend the holidays with us. Drew was obsessed with Jacob last year and even talked about him thoughout the year after he had gone back home to the North Pole. When Jacob majically came back the weekend after Thanksgiving, it was like Christmas morning for Drew. Jacob has been hiding in some really good places and is using more props this year...he's getting creative. Brooke has also become quite interested in Jacob and loves to look for him as well every morning. We love Jacob becuase he is so cute and fun but really he is such a good reminder for the kids to be good and behave. Wish he could spend the entire year with us!

Football Sunday...that ugle trophy has never looked so good ;-)!

Our Everyday...

Drew's Kindergarten class has a mascot named "Coco". Coco came home with Drew for the weekend and Drew was attached to Coco and more than a bit sad when it was time to take him back on
Monday :-(.
Drew dressed Coco up as an elf!
No, he's not sleeping...just pouting because he has to take Coco back to school.
He looks all cute and innocent, right?? Acutally is all ready to run away...stuffed penguin under the arm, elf hat, spiderman doll and of course his spiderman slippers! What else would you possible need?

Polar Express?

Not quite Polar Express but none the less, it was pretty darn cute. We traveled South to a small town that started with a F (serioulsy can't think of the name) for a train ride with Santa!!!

We met the Perry, Shy, Harness & Yates familes for this fun adventure. The train seriously never went more than 10mph and I'm pretty sure we didn't travel more than 2 miles away from the departing station. At one point the train stopped and we heard a bunch of banging up on the roof of the train. It was Santa and the reindeer landing! Santa did a walk through all the train cars before taking a seat for all the kids to come visit and sit on his lap.

Brooke did not cry but she did not smile either. She sat on his lap but would NOT look at him. Drew was his typical ham and loved talking to Santa and telling him about all the Transformers he would like for Christmas. HO, HO, HO...never thought we would travel to "F" town to find Santa on an old, rickity choo choo train!

All Aboard!

All smiles for a cookie...Santa, not so much.

The Feeling of Chirstmas!

Any opportunity to decorate is a plus in my book. I love pulling out all the Christmas decorations and trying to figure out new ways to incorporate them into our home. There is nothing better than the feeling of  warmth and coziness that comes from a house all decorated and filled with family for the holidays. Love.

I take pictures of the decorations and use them as a reference for the following years to help me remember how I used everything. It’s a nice timesaver tip to help the decorating process get done a bit quicker. Unfortunately, it still takes forever but is SO worth all the effort!

I used two little trees for the dining room that I have used outside on the porch in the past. I decorated the trees with a brass/copper theme and used Amber lights.

This might just be my most favorite new addition to the decor...I'm thinking he might stick around after Christmas.

Giving Thanks.

I am feeling so thankful for my healthy family and all the blessings we have in our life. I want to live each day as if it’s Thanksgiving. Giving thanks and being Grateful each and EVERY day.

It’s A Way To Live.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Our Everyday…

With a little help from Dad, Drew lost his 3rd tooth this week!

With each tooth that he has lost up, he makes us write a letter to the tooth fairy asking if he can keep the tooth. I told him that the value of the tooth goes down if the tooth fairy is not able to take it with her…he said he would rather keep the tooth than have the money!!!

Our Everyday…

The idea behind “Our Everyday” is to capture details as they happen that might otherwise be forgotten. Totally speaks to me because I am so afraid of forgetting those little details in the grand scheme of everything.
Brooke coloring a picture! I'm so impressed with her fine motor skills and I swear she tries to write her name. Not bad for the ripe age of 2!
