Spring Time...Fun Time!

I’m so glad we live in an area that is exposed to all the changing seasons. With every new season I find motivation and excitement for all that the season has to bring. This winter seemed especially L   O   N   G... and for that I am ESTATIC to see signs of spring everywhere! The grass is getting greener, trees are starting to blossom, tulips and day lilies are popping out of the ground…oh happy day!
With the nicer weather we have been able to come out of hibernation and enjoy the fresh air. The kids are more than happy to spend time outside. Drew is still in “superhero” mode with his latest obsession being all things Power Rangers. He and his best neighbor friend Tommy are constantly running through the yards dressed in full costume battling all things evil.
Brooke thinks that playing outside is the coolest playground in the world! She ALWAYS wants to go outside and regularly brings me her shoes and says “play.” She loves the ability to toddler around while exploring the great outdoors!

Symmetry...Seriously?!?

Sometimes I honestly forget he is four (technically almost 5). Drew amazes me ALL the time with the things he says and all that he knows and understands. Yesterday, we were looking through his school artwork he had brought home for the day. I asked him about this particular painting because it really spiked my interest.

He said, “Mom, this picture represents Symmetry.” WHAT?!? I was blown away! I’m sure at some point in my education I spent time learning about symmetry. However, I’m also pretty darn sure I was not four at the time. The fact of the matter is yes, I have a little smarty on my hands. But really this is just another example of the amazing pre-school education he is receiving.

I have been thinking a lot about Drew’s education recently because we just made a BIG decision about where we are sending him next year for Kindergarten. Bittersweet for many reasons, but one thing I am absolutely confident about, Drew is TOTALLY ready for Kindergarten...much in part to the teachers and staff at Wonder Years!

I am so happy that 4 years ago, I met and had a discussion with a lady at Jiffy Lube while waiting for my oil to be changed. She told me ALL about this little school called Wonder Years and raved about the teachers and the owner/director. That conversation stuck with me and when we started looking at pre-schools I made sure Wonder Years was on the list to visit. After doing so, it was an easy decision...Wonder Years was the place for us! I have never been disappointed with our experience and will forever be thankful to them for helping to contribute to our son’s development and preparedness for Kindergarten. It’s a great place with great people and I truly feel it's Wonder…ful!
