Miss B on the other hand is going to be a different story. She officially started crawling this week. She starts off by taking 3 or 4 crawls and then plops down for a much needed rest. She is getting stronger and faster with each day. Darren left his laptop on the floor the other night and before I could blink, she had crawled over and ripped three keys off the keyboard!! She then bee lined it over to the electrical outlet and was playing with a cord. I also caught her reaching for a picture frame that is sitting on a pedestal on the fireplace hearth…and she has only been crawling for THREE DAYS! To say the least, we need to baby proof the house PRONTO!

It’s Time to Start Baby Proofing…We have a Crawler!
I would like to make a prediction…Miss B is going to be one of those babies who gets into EVERYTHIG! I would say were pretty lucky with Drew. He didn’t really mess with things that he wasn’t supposed to. I never really had to take down any decorations or non baby items for fear that he would get hurt or break something…he just kind of ignored all that stuff.

Drew’s Weird Dreams and Thundercrackers!
Last night Drew did not want to sleep alone in his bed…not unusual. So I laid down next to him for a few minutes and then started to get up to leave….thinking he was sleeping and that it was safe to escape. Of course, that was not the case. He immediately sat up in bed and said, “MOM, I was having a bad dream.” I hesitated to ask what the dream was about because I didn’t want him to spend anymore time thinking about something that scared him and fearing he would never fall asleep. He then started to smell his pillow, blankets, sheet and headboard. When I asked him what he was doing, he told me he was dreaming that everything in his bed smelled like MEATLOAF and that he was just checking to make sure it was a dream.
Drew is pretty fascinated with Fireworks right now. This weekend should be really fun with all the 4th of July activities. I think over this past week he has gotten confused about what to call fireworks though. Every time he hears a loud boom he get’s all excited and says, “I just heard a THUNDERCRACKER!” Hope you enjoy your 4th of July weekend with all the thundercrackers!
