Dear Tooth Fairy…we have our first tooth!

The last couple of weeks have been filled with buckets of drool and soaked bibs. She is constantly chewing on her hands.

So I shouldn’t have been surprised when I checked B’s mouth this weekend and saw her swollen little gum and two bottom, center teeth trying to pop through. Well yesterday, March 29th, the first little white bud of a tooth pushed through. My baby has a tooth!!!

Not the best picture but it’s really hard to get her tongue out of the way.

We have been trying to get her to eat rice cereal but she isn’t too found of the spoon or the texture. She hasn’t quite figured out how to push the cereal to the back of her mouth and swallow. Her ped told us not to force it so we are taking it slow.

Here she is right after taking her first bite…and then pushing it right back out.

She is also becoming quite the giggly little girl. Seriously she melts my heart EVERY day! My little love bunny…

Our WELL Baby...

Today was Brooke’s 4 Month well baby exam and man is she WELL. She weighs 16 lbs & 3 oz and is in the 95% for her weight. She is 25 ½ inches long and is the 90% for height. Her head also measured in the 75% and her doctor said that was good and that she had a big brain. I think she may be a little drama queen as well. As soon as the doctor left the room she started screaming. I think she knew that the nurse was coming in next for the awful shots. Poor baby….she was SO upset.

Check out the cheeks!

How about this...and a little bit of that!

Brooke turned 4 months old this week. She is changing everyday and her little personality is SO sweet. She is very close to rolling over (back to front). She gets about 90% there and she just can't get all the way over. Every night I have been recording her HOPING to catch this milestone digitally. And how funny is it that she is totally camera shy! As soon as I stick a camera in her face she freezes and looks at me like I'm crazy. As often as I try to capture her sweet smiles you would think she would be used to the camera by now. I will keep trying...

I swear she was all smiles...until I stuck the camera in her face...

Drew enjoying an ice cream cone...after he face planted into the play area glass door ... bloody nose and all. And did I mention that I was out on my own with both kids for this little adventure. Anyway, the manager felt really bad for him and I thought she was being nice and concerned...now I realized she probably didn't want a lawsuit on her hands. Regardless, the ice cream cured all and he was happy.

Brooke enjoying (?!?) some fresh air and probably her first experience with the big, bright sun...

Content, Happy & One Hot Mess!!!

Little Miss B is doing so great! She is just so happy and content and makes me so proud to be her Mommy. In the last couple of weeks she has fallen into a schedule and is having so much fun. She loves to lie on her back and play on her play mat or in her bouncy seat. She is constantly smiling and cooing and drooling ALL over the place. The bib has become a necessary, permanent fixture! She is kicking her legs like crazy and loves to kick the toys that hang over her head while lying on the play mat. It's just a matter of time before she figures out how to flip herself over to her tummy. She even giggled for the first time the other night. Drew was being crazy, silly and she let out a little giggle. Now if I could only capture it on video! The best news is that she is sleeping through the night. She goes to bed around 7:30 or 8pm, swaddled tight and binky in place and then its lights out for 11 to 12 hours. She is such a good girl!

As usual, Mr. Drew is a hilarious, hot mess! He is looking like an un-kept, homeless child these days. His hair is longer than it has ever been (the Hairy Elephant appointment has been made) and needs to be chopped! It is so hard not to laugh every morning when he wakes and comes walking out of his room with this unruly, matted, birds nest on top of his head. His eyes are half open; he is stumbling about, rubbing his eyes and immediately asking to watch a toon.

And the after...
